Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. Why should I take AcnEase on an empty stomach?
- A. The rationale is to maximize absorption of the ingredients in AcnEase. If you consume AcnEase with a fatty meal there is a marked delay in gastric emptying and there are many more enzymes released that can break down the active ingredients in AcnEase. Not knowing what is in the meal could lead to AcnEase interacting with components from the meal and not being absorbed out of the intestine at all. For these reasons we recommend if possible taking AcnEase on an empty stomach with plenty of water. You can eat 45-60 minutes following AcnEase or conversely, wait a couple of hours after eating. If your meal is simple like orange juice and toast then it is not a problem. The more complex the meal the more you should differentiate the timing with respect to taking your AcnEase.
- Q. Are AcnEase herbs any different from herbal shops?
- A. AcnEase is a unique blend of specially selected, harvested, extracted and processed ingredients which efficacy is supported by clinical research. The process and the proportion of herbs is a trade secret and cannot be duplicated.
- The SAME herbal ingredients DO NOT ALWAYS RESULT in the SAME PRODUCT or the SAME PROPERTIES of the product. Like in manufacturing of wine the same grapes may lead to the product that justifies price of $5.99 and $159.00 per one litter bottle, herbal supplements too depend on selection of ingredients and manufacturing processes for their efficacy and value.
- For example - in the composition of AcnEase if the ratio of the ingredients is incorrect the acne may actually get worse. The source and quality of the ingredients is also important. Similar to the well-known fact that the same type of grapes grown in France, California and Australia have different properties and provide for a different wine also herbs grown in China (and even in different parts of China) are different from herbs and plants grown in the US. The part of the plant that is actually used in the process and the extraction process itself are also very important. Whether the plant is extracted with water or organic solvents greatly changes what active ingredients you will have in your preparation. Obviously the ratio (proportion) of ingredients is crucial to the product efficacy and is a result of regimental and lengthy clinical studies and also protected by trade secret.
- Q. Dose AcnEase interfere with birth control pills (oral contraceptives)?
- A. There is no evidence that AcnEase interferes with birth control pills.
- Q. Does AcnEase exacerbate existing Acne?
- A. To date we have not had any feedback suggesting that the use of AcnEase exacerbated or worsened any individual's Acne. To the contrary, the majority of users report improvement during the first 10 days. That is why Herborium offers a full money back guarantee. AcnEase was clinically developed to specifically treat acne. The herbs used in AcnEase were specifically selected for their effect on factors that cause Acne. To date AcnEase has a very impressive track record. The results in adolescent acne, adult chronic acne, androgen-induced acne, and the GI effects associated with skin disorders have been very favorable.
- Q. Dose AcnEase help to decrease blackheads, whiteheads and oily skin?
- A. AcnEase has been shown to be effective at all stages of acne including blackheads (comedones). Blackheads result from overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands. AcnEase restores the imbalance responsible for this over production. Once the production of sebum has been decreased the pores will shrink and close. Oily skin should improve and blackheads and whiteheads should become less prevalent.

- A. Sun exposure - NO
