How long does the AcnEase treatment takes?

How long does the AcnEase treatment takes?

Most individuals see results in the first 4 weeks. As detailed below, there are many factors that affect the duration of the AcnEase treatment. The majority of people with mild-to-moderate acne only need to take AcnEase for a couple of months to have a clear skin; and as described below after obtaining a clear skin, individuals may choose to take a maintenance dose of 4-6 tablets / day for a suitable period of time. The key is to wean off the tablets little by little once you have a clear skin.

You should consider decreasing your use of AcnEase and not stopping it abruptly. For example, if you take 12 tablets / day (4 tablets, 3 times / day) and that you get a clear skin, then decrease to 8 tablets / day (4 tablets, 2 times / day) for one month. The following month, go to 6 tablets / day. If your skin stays clear then there is no need for a maintenance dose. If acne recurs, you can take AcnEase for a week or two to stop the growth of new pimples.

The reason the treatment period is not accurate is because acne is actually a fairly complex disease, even if its clinical manifestation is simply pimples!

What is the engine of a pimple formation is what is more complex:

  • Some women have a higher secretion of the adrenal glands that leads to high levels of testosterone (an androgen) in the blood that is causing acne.
  • For some women, the fluctuation of hormones - and acne are related to their menstrual cycle.
  • For many young women and men, during adolescence, there can be a great growth spurt, with peaks in hormone levels.
  • For men who go through puberty, these hormonal peaks may be due to overloads of testosterone levels.
  • Genetic variation is also a major contributing factor. If the parents had acne, it is likely that their children will also have acne.
  • The common denominator is over-production of sebum by the sebaceous glands that leads to clogged pores where dead skin cells accumulate and provide an ideal environment for the growth of bacteria.

The duration of the treatment and the dose of AcnEase is dependent on a number of factors, including:

  • Is your acne mild, moderate or severe?
  • Is your acne chronic (lasts for over a year)?
  • Do you have cystic acne (bumps under the skin)?
  • Do you have inflammatory acne (papules and pustules)?
  • Is your acne mainly in the form of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads)?
  • Is your acne limited to your face or is it also present on your torso (back and chest)?
  • Are you a pre-teenager, teenager or adult?

All of these factors, in addition to your own genetic makeup, will contribute to the way you respond to AcnEase, the dose you will need to take and the duration of treatment.

To give you a perspective an Accutane / Roaccutane / Curacne treatment can range from 6-12 months. Topical products (which act at the place where they are applied, such as lotions, creams ...) can be used for years but only treat the symptoms of acne (temporarily), but not the cause.

Also, here is a Chamomile astringent DIY recipe that will help you acne heal in combination with the AcnEase treatment:

Chamomile causes reactions similar to that of drugs with painkiller and anti-inflammatory effects. When applied topically, chamomile can help the inflammation associated with acne.

How to use: You can make your own chamomile astringent by taking 3-4 chamomile tea bags (or 2 handfuls of the dry plant) and brewing a very strong tea. When cooled, use on a cotton pad all over your face twice a day. Keep the leftovers in the refrigerator, but use or discard in two days.
